The area of this pagoda is about 40m2 including Moutain Gateway, Maitreya shrine, Da Yingxiong shrine, Seven Buddha shrine, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva shrine and the floor containing Buddhist scriptures. This pagoda is located at the foot of Mount Emei right at the entrance. This is where the main Buddhist activities and rituals take place. This pagoda was called “Tong Tang Association” since the Ming Dynasty, changed its name to “Baoquo Pagoda” when King Kangxi ascended the throne.
